INTRO
Management of your components, creating repair and bid specifications, selecting the repair, and coating vendor, and verifying them during the refurbishment of your IGT components is critical. TEServices can do one or all of these items when you or your company does not have the resources (expertise or time) available. Furthermore TEServices has the (superalloy) metallurgical expertise in-house to perform failure analysis, including root cause investigation, component assessment before and after refurbishment and process (stripping, coating, heat treatment, welding, brazing, etc.) qualification.
If a failure did occur, TEServices supports many IGT users with failure and root cause analysis. Many end-users are asking TEServices for a second opinion after the OEM has provided their evaluation.  TEServices' focus is to avoid re-occurrence and works with the end-users, their OEM’s or third parties in order to achieve this. Our in-depth knowledge about metallurgy, gas turbine engines and their components makes it possible to give customized advice to improve performance and avoid coating and metallurgical failures.  TEServices also performs First Article qualifications of stripping, coating, welding, brazing, etc.
TEServices provides assessments and life extensions of components including base materials, internal surfaces and external surfaces before and after refurbishment.  These metallurgical evaluations, together with mechanical testing, models, and other experiences of that specific component, enable TEServices to assess the remaining life.  In many cases TEServices is able to extend the component's life by advising special repairs or heat treatments. TEServices supports end-users with management, including budgeting of their components, see CPAM.
Do you ever doubt whether your potential supplier is able to perform as advertised? TEServices offers Technical, Quality, and Environmental Audits. These audits can give you an in-depth understanding of supplier capabilities in technical know-how and the supplier's quality management systems and controls. An audit will confirm whether your vendor has the expertise and ability, as well as the quality and management systems in place to perform well.
TEServices has developed repair guidelines for EPRI and their specifications.  These specifications consist of one page per component with all important repair steps and options, which can be used for bid specifications or as a check list during the verifications.  Also included are all the quality requirements of all repair processes such as stripping & cleaning, heat treatments, non-destructive testing, dimensional inspection, welding, blending, brazing, etc.
TEServices' major activity is performing vendor verification to ensure that the components are manufactured, repaired and coated to industry standards and contract specifications, and are meeting or exceeding the customer’s needs. TEServices can supply their repair specifications for most IGT’s. To be able to perform this cost effectively, TEServices has inspectors located in Houston, up-state New York, Europe and Asia.
TEServices has developed a comprehensive training course, “Metallurgical Aspects of IGT Component Repairs”. In logical sequence, participants are educated concerning metallurgy, superalloys, heat treatments, degeneration of IGT components, coating, stripping & cleaning, welding, brazing and non-destructive testing. In addition to the theoretical background, an overview is given of what is actually used, and the pros and cons are discussed at the end of each session. Case studies at the end of each day enhance the learning experience.
TEServices has joined forces with GTUsers to provide Capital Parts Asset Management (CPAM) for Frame 7FA and other heavy frame components.
The Capital Parts and Scheduled Inspections planning during the lifetime of the gas turbine comprise a major portion of the plant maintenance costs and operational risk. CPAM software is available now for the North
American market by TEServices to forecast the customer’s maintenance requirements. Based on MS-Excel™, it is easy to use and can always be with you on a laptop. It addresses all the important information for evaluating the gas turbine's history and its future requirements, i.e.
TEServices can organize bid meetings at our facility, located in the proximity of 15 repair or coating facilities. During the meeting we can host reviews and supply bidders with:

• Component assessment

• Defined repair and coating procedures
• Opportunity to review parts
• Answers to their questions
TEServices can provide these services cost effectively and worldwide due to the location of our IGT inspectors. TEServices is ideally situated to perform vendor verification of turbine component repair, which can reduce installation and operation problems of the repaired components in your turbine. Let TEServices help you to take advantage of this competitive situation, by facility selection, developing repair and quotation specifications, component assessment and verification of manufacturing, repair and coating.
